Fingercap lifestyle

The Scarban silicone finger cap is made for scars that are caused by deep damage to the skin from burn wounds, surgery, trauma or skin disease. Each silicone finger cap is made from 100% medical-grade silicone to gently hug the finger, providing continuous pressure and hydration to help flatten, soften and fade scars. They are ideal to use on the fingers alongside Scarban silicone scar sheets on the hand or arm when you need a complete silicone scar treatment plan.

Size guide:

The size of the silicone finger is determined based on the contour of the finger. Scarban finger tape is universally applicable.

Small (S) = 5.5 cm

Medium (M) = 6.5 cm

Large (L) = 7.5 cm

Extra Large (XL) = 8.5 cm

When you are in between sizes, choose the smaller size. This size applies more pressure to the scar, which benefits the healing process.

Key benefits:

•    Designed for individual finger scar care
•    Ideal for burns, trauma, post-surgical healing, or skin disease
•    Made from reusable, extra-thick medical-grade silicone
•    SPF 50+ UV protection to help prevent hyperpigmentation
•    Includes mild cleaning soap for safe reuse
•    Can be cut or adjusted to fit specific finger lengths

Silicone Scar Therapy for Fingers.

Silicone scar treatment is the preferred choice for preventing and treating scars. It is the only non-invasive scar treatment supported by strong scientific evidence, making it a safe, effective, and easy-to-use option for ongoing scar care.

Because fingers are a high-movement, high-friction area, scar treatment can be especially challenging. Traditional dressings may slip, bunch, or fail to stay in place throughout the day. Scarban Silicone Finger Caps are designed to provide targeted silicone coverage exactly where it is needed, helping maintain pressure and moisture on the scar while still allowing you to comfortably use your hands.

How to use Scarban Silicone Fingercaps.

Step 1: Coat your finger with a cream

Begin by applying a thin layer of cream to the finger that requires treatment, such as ALHYDRAN medical cream. This helps to hydrate the skin and ensures the silicone finger cap can slide on smoothly without causing friction or discomfort. Proper moisturisation also supports the overall effectiveness of the scar therapy.

Step 2: Slide finger into the silicone finger

Gently slide the silicone finger cap over the affected finger. Take care to position it correctly so the scar area is fully covered. The snug fit helps maintain consistent contact with the skin, allowing the silicone to effectively deliver pressure and hydration to the scar.

Step 3: Slide finger into the compression sock

Carefully pull the compression sock over the silicone-covered finger using slow back-and-forth movements. This added layer provides gentle compression, enhancing the effectiveness of the silicone therapy by helping to further reduce scar thickness and improve overall healing outcomes.

Step 4: How to remove the Scarban silicone finger

To remove the product, first take off the compression sock by gently pulling it from the base of the finger upward. Once removed, carefully slide off the silicone finger cap. Removing the components in this order helps prevent discomfort and ensures the skin is not irritated during the process.

Clinically supported therapy.

Scars on the hands and fingers can impact both appearance and everyday function. Medical-grade silicone is widely used in scar management to help minimise the formation of thick, raised scars. It works by maintaining optimal hydration and providing gentle, consistent pressure, creating an environment that supports smoother, more flexible healing. For this reason, silicone sheets, gels, and finger caps are commonly used by burn units and hand therapists as part of comprehensive scar care.

The effectiveness of silicone therapy is well supported by scientific evidence, which is why it has become a preferred choice in professional scar treatment. Medical silicone sheets are widely recommended by healthcare professionals for their safety, ease of use, and proven ability to improve scar appearance over time.

Why Use Silicone Finger Caps for Scar Management?

Silicone therapy is widely recognised as the gold standard for non-invasive scar management, supported by strong clinical evidence for both prevention and treatment of scars.

Finger scars are difficult to treat due to constant movement and friction. Silicone Finger Caps are shaped to stay in place on fingers, knuckles, and small joints where flat sheets often slip or bunch.

Regular use can help relieve itching, tightness, and discomfort while improving skin flexibility and movement in the affected area.

With consistent daily use, many users begin to see visible improvements in scar texture, colour, and thickness within 2–4 months.

Suitable for scars caused by burns, trauma, surgery, or skin grafts, and can be combined with silicone sheets for more extensive coverage across the hand or wrist.
