Mepilex Border Flex Lite is a thin, self adherent silicone foam dressing developed by Mölnlycke for wound management where secure adhesion and high conformability are important, but absorbency requirements are low.
The dressing incorporates Safetac silicone contact technology, which adheres gently to intact skin without sticking to the wound bed. This helps minimise pain during dressing changes and reduces the risk of trauma to fragile or healing tissue. The thin foam construction allows close contact with the skin while supporting a moist wound environment.
Mepilex Border Flex Lite features a flexible border designed to move with the body, making it suitable for areas subject to movement such as joints or contoured anatomical sites. It is intended for use on wounds with low exudate including surgical wounds, superficial traumatic wounds, skin tears, and pressure related skin damage. The low profile design supports discreet wear under clothing and allows extended wear time depending on wound condition.
