Jelonet Gauze Dressing
Paraffin impregnated open weave gauze dressing designed to protect the wound bed and allow atraumatic dressing changes.
Jelonet is a paraffin impregnated open weave gauze dressing developed by Smith & Nephew for use as a wound contact layer in the management of a wide range of wounds. The dressing is designed to protect the wound surface while allowing exudate to pass freely into a secondary absorbent dressing.
The paraffin impregnation helps prevent adherence to the wound bed, supporting atraumatic removal and reducing pain during dressing changes. The open weave structure allows effective drainage of exudate and supports maintenance of a moist wound environment when used with an appropriate secondary dressing.
Jelonet is suitable for use on clean wounds, granulating wounds, skin graft sites, and burns. It is intended to be used in conjunction with a secondary dressing and may be changed according to wound condition and clinical judgement.
